    Hi all,

Just found a 1967 Tele at my local guitar shop. Original owner replaced pick-ups with cheap Seymour Duncan's. I have sourced originals but need info on mounting. Did the original pick-ups use springs or rubber tubes to mount to the body? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My 67 (that I sold) had springs to keep the pick ups in place. The bridge pick up had the coned ones.

    Danman,

Thanks much. That's what I was hoping. I still have the springs. He apparently kept them and used them to mount the Duncans.

Great! And another advantage is that they don't rot..... ;-)
