This thing reminds me of the old Spielberg 'amazing stories' B17 with the cartoon wheels

I don't know, man. They had a demonstration "competition" among STOL (I.e. Bush planes/pilots) at Oshkosh Airventure this past summer, and they appeared to have a stall speed of about 15mph. I'm exaggerating, but man, a stiff headwind and I'll bet they could just about hover.

My best friend sold his Pitts and bought an Aviat Husky. I loved the Pitts but the Husky makes me giddy :)

It would have been even shorter if the wind decided to quit for a second or two.

. The Zenith CH701 will almost jump into the air with a headwind. Here’s a normal short take off. It’s also a kit that anyone could build and fly.

Wilga. Kinda hoggy. We ran numbers on them 25 years ago and they sucked at higher DA's. These perform better but are highly inefficient. As if these guys care.

When I was in my 20's, I watched my Dad take our J-3 Cub off in a strong headwind, climb up a hundred feet or so and then fly so slowly that he actually was backing up down the runway (local grass strip). He landed almost exactly where he had started. Very rare to have a strong, steady wind like that here. Dad had 25k flight hours and knew that Cub like an extra hand.

That Draco is a beast. I wish I had the money to create such toys and go play like that.
