Lately, I've been feeling that my MIM 60s Tele is a bit difficult to play compared to others with the same string gauge and scale length and I think it's the nut width. I don't think anybody would say that the 60s has a chunky neck, but it feels quite wide. Fender quotes the honest and traditional 1-5/8" [~41mm] nut width but mine is easily more like 43mm. My guitars that are 41mm at the nut are a joy to play - my tokai strat with the same string gauge and similar action is much nicer to play. I guess my question is does anybody have an MiM 60s with a 41mm nut, as Fender reckons it does? Which tele models are verified as coming with this nut width (as in people have handled them and took a ruler to the nut, not just "fender says")?
