I've been brewing beer for a living since 1995. It's the only career I've had and at this point the only one I'm suited for and/or qualified for.

I'm a mild mannered reporter for a major metropolitan newspaper...

Actually, I'm a winemaker/vintner for a small family winery. I'm also the CFO, CIO, CEO, and janitor for said winery - oh, I mow the grass too. My business card reads Managing Partner, but so does my wifes.

Retired 22 years ago as a high tech product design engineer career in Silicon Valley designing future landfill.

I've gone from teaching the local elk to surf the snow from my surf guitar music blasting out over this mountain to singing them the blues nowadays. A few stints playing local venues with weird music too.

I've got entirely too much character, then. The thing is, I'm not sure what else I'd do besides this. I used to think I wanted to work in retail, like in a book store, or a record store, but those are quickly becoming a thing of the past.

I guess I'm the only one ... I post on TDPRI for a living. I do wish the pay was better, though. :)

Graphic Artist here, 35 years I've been pushing a pencil now, and like most of us here, have seen huge changes in the profession(s) that chose us... still a ways from retiring per se, but I'm always going to be creating something... semi-pro guitarist, just not working as hard as I used to, 20-30 gigs per year instead of 80-90...

I’m an engineer and sales manager.....packaging systems and packaging material. I’ve been at it for 34 years. My focus is food and medical packaging. In short; I’m a nerd.

I am now retired but I spent about thirty years pricing proposals for companies, working contracts, managing proposals and other associated work. I enjoyed working proposals. Folks looked at me funny.

Been driving boats since I was 20.

I was a Boatswains Mate in the Coast Guard 9 years, then a
Fire Fighter 10 years, then Promoted to Fireboat Boat
Pilot last 15 years. 12 years ago went in the Coast Guard
Reserves and retired with 20 years last July.

I am very fortunate to love what I have done for the last 35 years.
I work 2 days/2 nights- 4 days off. 5 weeks vacation and great medical.
    And I’m still driving boats.

Lives been good to me so far.

I pulled in 73 cents last year alone! Okay, I found the 73 cents in a little brass tub that sits on my desk where I post on the Bad Dog.
