No kidding. That stuff is fun.......for the first few hours
I wish I could use a plane. I just can't seem to get the swing of it. Anyway, its great to see progress
nosmo. They are looking good.
And then there's planers VVVVVRRRRRRRPPPPP! and you're done.
Since dogs interjected into this thread, and FWIW - here's my two at play. Not the best photo, but you get the picture.
I'm in. This is Ellah.
Don't you call your's "Mr. Snipes"?
I still love my planer. Don't panic, I'm far too lazy to hand plane everything.
I think we just found the replacement for the cat duster!
I didn't say I loved him, I just said he's fast. But I do love him more than any of my hand planes. If the old timers who had nothing but hand planes had suddenly been introduced to mechanical planing machines, you would have heard a huge collective "thunk" of those hand planes hitting the floor. Maybe that's why so many of them need work.
I really need them more for joining though.
Sorry Reb - I skipped right over your post. Glad to see you haven't given up on this thread yet
I got tired of sanding & polishing the mando.
Shellac underneath, lacquer on top. Tru-Oil on the neck.
Same with the Classical, but I'm still sanding & polishing that.
I think I'll call this one done
Well worth all the effort!
nice looking that one ! ilike the falmed neck very much butall the wood combination si really something .
really cool !
Looks great Nosmo, glad to see you persevered. Can't wait to see the other one.
Lets hear it!
Ok, so a 4 1/2 year wait to get to the finished instrument...
TOTALLY WORTH IT!
Really great work, nosmo!
Awesome results - now, if only Jupe could finish the DPP 335....
