Been in WNC (Murphy) ever since I came home from seeing the walls of hospitals during my first 16 months of life. Been in three bands during my 37 years...am now confided to home due to recent foot surgery to straighten my left foot (I was born with Cerebral Palsy & Hydrocephalus). Been around music all my life but only started taking it seriously when I was around fifteen.

I dearly LOVE Paisley Teles and am trying hard to purchase this one from JVGuitars:

I'm a HUGE Elvis fan and always will be! I have a large number of musical influences:

    Vocals: Elvis Presley

    Guitar:
    Clarence White
    James Burton
    Brad Paisley
    Danny Gatton
    Marty Stuart
    Jimmy Olander
    SRV
    Brent Mason
    Pete Anderson
    Bonnie Raitt

    Piano/Keyboards:
    Floyd Cramer
    Tony Ford
    Jerry Lee Lewis
    Glen D. Hardin

    Drums:
    Ronnie Tutt

    Bass Guitar:
    Jerry Scheff

    Slide Guitar:
Wendell Cox (Travis Tritt's lead guitarist)
    Lee Roy Parnell
    Bonnie Raitt

Winston Salem here. Anyone in these parts play B bender Teles? We have plenty of Bluegrass here (I still partake of that on occasion) but does anyone like to just sit around play Teles (with or without a bender)?

North Raleigh here. Really only a Tele wanna be, as I don't yet own one. Play a little drums, a little bass, a little guitar, sing a little. None of them well. But I figure if you do 4 things half-assed, that's two whole asses.

Hey all. I'm in Rocky mount. I've been playing for about 30 years now, which seems rather amazing when I think about it. I used to play semi-pro, maybe occasional pro is a better description. Strats are really my fave, but have been developing a real appreciation for the tele. Anyway, manly a jazz sax player but I've played both instruments for about the same amount of time. Kids make playing difficult right now and a table saw accident had me trying to rehab my playing. Hopefully I'll be able to find some folks to jam with sometime and get the hobby back up and running. Take care
    Bob

I've been in Rocky Mount for the past 18 years ever since I retired from the military.

In the early to mid-70s I was a full-time bassist playing the central New England Bar circuit, averaging 250-364 gigs a year. I got back to gigging on guitar 10 years ago--big band jazz; very brass oriented. Not a lot of bookings for 19 musicians and two to four vocalists. Being self-taught, I catch a lot of guff from my bandmates, many who are music educators.

I get to use the Tele at work playing R&B gospel for my patients on Wednesdays. My trumpeter boss doesn't mind. Also I play acoustic stuff, especially Dobro, in li'l Washington with the Beaufort County Traditional Music Association whenever my weekend is free.
