So I checked in on Reverb today to just look around. Saw the Noel Gallagher Reverb shop and took a peek. I know these are from his collectin, but come on. A Vox AC4 TV for the low price of $814.88?? And it sold! Maybe I'm out of the loop, but that's just silly. There is also a Pro Junior III for the same price. Also sold. Seems crazy to me, but to each their own.

You're paying for the story, not the gear.

If they don't sell because of the high price, it's not like he needs the money.

    It's memorabilia first, gear second.

Ah ah ah. Not a Vox AC4 TV, the Vox AC4 TV once owned by Noel Gallagher

I don't get the celebrity thing at all, so if people are willing to wait in line for an autograph, try to seek in a selfie or spend mega bucks for celeb status gear ... it is their time and money ... both wasted IMO.

Yeah... I'm an Oasis fan, but not so much that I'd pay a premium for Noel's castoff gear.

A friend of mine has Sylvain Sylvain's old Tubescreamer pedal - autographed and all - and no one seems too impressed by that either. ;)

Me neither. Things that make you go hmmmm. To each his/her own I guess. All but one item remain unsold. So I guess there is a market for it. Not my cup of tea tho.

I don't either. I can kinda' understand it if it were someone who was highly influential, Miles Davis, Zappa, etc. But Mr. Oasis guy? They wrote some catchy songs, but they weren't exactly pioneers or anything of that sort.

How about the accordion, or the Shure SM58 with latent Pink Floyd spit in it? Any takers?

For a very recognizable instrument instantly associated with someone of absolute legend status, I could see the premium price. I wouldn't pay it, but it would make sense to me. For Noel Gallagher's bedroom practice amp? No thanks.
