Sorry for your loss. I lost my Mom two years ago. What a nice tribute to your Mom and what a nice guitar to have in her honor.

"Custodian" really is the right word for owning such a piece of guitar history.
    Keep her safe, son.

You are correct, It's an amazing simple pleasure. I played my own interpretation of "Lenny"at her funeral, It was my way of connecting with her and thanking her .

If you are ever in Qld Australia, PM me an we'll organize something

FWIW I can confirm it: as I psted in other threads I totally agree with this description. The sound of a Broadcaster in unoque, the bridge pickup made me tink of a P90 too! Really a tone monster, realy THE SOUND!
    Again mate, enjouy your baby!

Your Mom is swaying and smiling when you play that beautiful guitar. You can count on that.

Thanks folks, she's definitely a never to be sold guitar.

I get to gig her tomorrow night and I can't wait . I have a 1959 Brownface Super and they are a perfect match, no pedals needed (though I will take some anyways)

I'm still on a high about this beauty :D

Wow. I almost teared up a bit there.
I'm so glad it's getting played and not locked away in a vault somewhere. Well done keeping it 'in circulation' as a player.

That's a heartfelt story and shows how deeply entwined a musician can become with an instrument, it's a fitting tribute and a beautiful instrument, it is obvious you are a man of depth, I am sorry for your loss and hope you have many years of pleasure playing that stunning guitar

I am sorry for the loss of your mother. Been there, not fun.

I would say that I think you could have done something a little less selfish with the guitar and given it to me. :) ;)

She's a beaut. May she remind you of cereal and milk, bath time, and roast beef cooked just right.

Once again thankyou so much everyone, Your thoughts and comments touch me, I really appreciate it. I get to play her tomorrow night, I can't wait to play the blues with her. I'm excited and nervous all at once, but I know my mum will be watching me,

    Heartfelt regards
