Hey everyone. I got my first real Telecaster today. For a good deal too. I'm not sure on the year, but it must be a few years older as it has the 6 saddle ashtray bridge and 9.5" radius. It came with a Fender hardshell case. First impressions: It's in excellent condition. The neck plays very nicely and is set up with nice low action. The fret wire is a bit different that the tall frets on my Warmoth neck. The tex-mex pups are a bit hotter than the Fender O.V. pups in my partscaster. The body is ash and appears to be a two-piece. It is surprisingly light...somehow lighter than my thinline partscaster. So far I feel like I got winner. But of course nothing is perfect. The corners of the bridge are pretty sharp and jagged. I've never seen anything like it. I'm sure I'll get used to it. If not I'll replace it. Thanks for looking.
