    Well...yesterday.
I could not resist Guitar Centers $129 sale on Squire Bullet Surf Green Tele, so I bought one. GREAT guitar.
I dressed the fret ends, lowered the strings (intonation was set perfectly) and installed a mint green pick guard... done. Will mod at a later much later date, going to play the frets off it. What a great buy!

It is truly remarkable that an instrument such as this can be had new for $129. Good score. Congrats

Those are a great value. Congrats.
Looks like Sonic Blue on my phone, but that's cool too.

They ran out as I dilly dallied, got one on back order for next month.. As I have the BSB I may make this into a Esquire, or rewire the BSB into Broadcaster wiring w/ the blender..

Just for fun/ perspective the original Rosewood board was '59 .. Todays $129 was equal to $15.04 w/ a 5% up charge for the "custom color" @ 15.80 the "real thing" actually cost at bit more than that..

Of course it was a little more spiff...

I think I paid more for my Music Master in 63, my first Fender.

That's lovely! It's a real shame they don't sell those in Europe.

Looks like the sale is over at GC. I can’t find any of these guitars for sale on-line. I hope they didn’t discontinue these beauties.

I had some Musician's Friend points that I had accumulated last year--used them to pick up one of these for $45. Still a steal even at full price. I like that mint guard--is that just a standard Fender (p/n 0992154000)?

Nice! Is it really heavy? Heard they are like 10 pounds. How did you get one that quick? Was it in store? The page for them keeps going up and then down for weeks now and when its up, its saying they will have more 6-12-18. Its back down again as of today though. I had to buy a used one and probably overpaid but it has upgrades and a cool relic job.

I've been seeing these in every GC near me as recently as Saturday, are they clearing them out?

Lucky! I would buy a few because its a limited run and they are unlikely to be coming back. They are a GC/MF exclusive. Every Squier Telecaster on Sweetwater is unavailable and says coming soon. Not sure whats going on with them but I know the new ones that are coming out are coming with Indian Laurel fingerboards. Maybe they are purging the rosewood boards haha.
