OK, I could not resist, as this hit almost everything on my checklist:
    • Thinline Tele - I don't have anything like it
    • "Gibson" like 24.75" scale length - pretty neat on a "Fender" style guitar
    • It was priced at 1/2 what folks have them listed for on Reverb/Ebay
    • I just sold two squiers - was feeling a little "Squier-light" recently, down to only 6 ... glad to add another!
    • it's RED

It certainly shows some battle-scars, and one of the pots are loose - but it seems to be functioning fine!!

    It's S/N is "CY04xxxx" - so I think that means China/Yako/2004?

Stick some SH-55s in there with all new pots/caps/wiring.

Very cool! I've considered getting one of those also.

How's it sound? Like a tele at all?

I am QUITE sure the Seth Lover's would sound great in this guitar (heck, they would sound great in a LOT of guitars for that matter) ... but ONE of those costs almost what this whole guitar costs!!

hmm - I would have to say "There ain't no twang in this thang!"

No, its not very "Tele" like at all ... its sounds more like my Epis than my Squier/Fenders - but that's what I was expecting!

Looks like a thinline version of the FMT...only without the maple top.

A lot of the same specs.

Nice thinline. Never seen one like that. Does it have coil splitters?
    Mine does. Just askin

No Coil Split on this one ... loving the DD HBs, the 24.75 scale length and the 12" FB radius - very un-"tele" features - it's what makes this Tele so much fun!

I have played the Fender FMT Tele as well (stayed at a Hard Rock where you can get a guitar/amp sent up to the room for free) - this guitar feels very much like that one, although the flame finish on the FMT is REALLY nice!

Yeah I love mine. A different playing experience.

A couple years after finding it I picked up a Gibby SG and thought it was a lot like my FMT.

I went home and did a spec comparison between them online and found they share many of the same spec.
Not that it means much except it aint no Tele. But you know that.
    Enjoy your Thinline.
