Finally had a chance to pick up my new Performer Series Tele at the store, today! Played it for a bit, right after I got home and then I had to take some pics to share here. First impression: gotta say I love it! Feels great, the twang, the warmer tones, it's all there and that color (it's hard to capture in a pic)! This one's definitely a keeper!

Awesome! Looks fantastic. It is a difficult colour to photograph isn't it!

Dark Rosewood and Sonic Blue. What's not to love? ;)
Plus they threw the toy car in. Nice of Fender.
What are the pickups on these?

I know, right? I think it's a great color combination! And yeah, the little hot rod was a nice gesture.:)
The pups in this one are the newly developed Yosemite, alnico 4 ones. I really like how they sound.

Guitar.com says: "New alnico-magnet pickups designed by Fender’s resident pickup guru Tim Shaw grace the entire [Performer] range. The balance between a Tele’s pickups is of huge importance. The new Yosemite pickups are voiced bright and clear, for sure, but there’s enough power down at the bridge to satisfy snarling Jack White impersonators and enough clarity at the neck for ghostly Radiohead arpeggios. The middle setting provides a satisfying range of sweetness and twang that rewards right-hand dynamics, while the Greasebucket tone control extends the range of usable sounds further than usual."

And I couldn't have said it better!;)

Schweet. Same faded sonic blue as my Baja, but they used the mint green pick guards. Can’t decide which guard I like better. I do love the “blue”, though.

The blue is really nice. Looks pretty good with the mint green PG, too!

So far it seems to be exactly what I was looking for. Don't think I'll ever need another Tele. Although I'd like a road worn Tele and maybe I need project Tele, too. And a butterscotch/black pg one and....:cry:;) No, this will probably not be the last Tele I'll ever buy.:)
