    Holy Ho'house, Batman!
That is one pimped out geetar!!!
    I really like it, though!
    Epi Firebird VII
    1999, Unsung Korea.
Big oval C neck with 1 11/16" nut.
Best...a cool wiring scheme I've never encountered...
    3 volumes, master tone.
The toggle gives the basic options for a 3-pickup guitar and the "3rd" volume brings the middle pickup in and out.
The basic Gibson sounds plus, N/M, M, and M/B
I need to figure out how to wire my FBIII like this, but the slider switch confuses me!

Had a line on a Gibson VII - just couldn't stretch finances. As a big Phil Manzanera fan I really like that one.

I'm on the strange guitar train too. A little more sedate than that red Gibson, but a bit oddball anyway. Fret King Elise:

Ok, so I clicked to see a weird guitar but instead there's a picture of an awesome Firebird.

    Right?

I'm a lover of the Firebirds though so I'm glad there's a thread to ogle.

The 3V 1T isnt so uncommon to 3 pickup guitars. My Firebitd is a VII copy. The wiring has given me fits for years. I think it's just a phase issue.

I just sold a SG Custom & that sounded killer with the middle blended in with no thin sounding drain on the bridge pickup. I snapped a pic of the wiring scheme before I sold it.

    Congrats!

    Weird for me!
56 years old...Blues band...tweed amps...Tele...Lester...an archtop or 2...pretty Ward Cleaver. No cargo pants or white seakers, though ;)
I really dig the Firebird though.
Much more flashy than my '65 FBIII...sunburst, P90s....

I had one of those but it had a fault in the wiring, the mini humbuckers actually hummed and were unusable with any gradient of overdrive as they howled and screeched very badly.

Maybe I just had bad luck.

So cool! A buddy of mine in high school had the gibby like this, so damn awesome. Weird and flashy but not at all ostentatious which is a hard combo to find! Congrats!

Just added another strap button at the heel.
    Balances perfectly now.

Some weird guitars I like (V, Explorer), some I don't (Steinberger). I've never had strong feelings about the Firebird one way or another but it's fun to geek out on non traditional guitars.

But really, at 60 years old, should we still be considering explorers and Flying V guitars weird or non-traditional?

Nom! Would love a Firebird. Closest I've gotten is an Epi Thunderbird bass I picked up used for a Benjamin. Congrats!

If I gig it I'll have to dress crappy to offset the bling ;)
