Thank you, I'll check that out tomorrow. I understand there's one of Rory Gallagher playing a Corvette as well. I'll see if I can track it down.

    Sure.

It looks like Rory's has a P90 pickup, in lieu of a Gretsch HiloTron.

I'm still somewhat regretting not buying a vintage Corvette that was being sold at a local music store. It had a fat, baseball bat style neck, which is why I was interested.

Never plugged it in, but it felt great and looked cool.

    Hope You like it!

    Beautiful guitar. I'm envious.
Are you SURE you really bought it?

Incidentally, I've just had the pots cleaned out on this guitar and I can't believe what a difference that has made - to reduce some irritating crackling they made. I was convinced that I'd have to live with it - simply because of it's age.

Yes, I'll try to remember to take and post a few. As a pre-cursor, it's what looks / feels like a thick cardboard construction with a mid-brown plastic "skin". It's well-made but I don't intend to abuse it, given it's age. Inside, the lining is a semi-plush / velour in orange.

The case is quite small and a snug fit for the guitar; so I suspect it may be the original case (but I can't be 100% certain). I haven't been able to find any maker's name or branding on the case, though.

I was given the two pickup version of this guitar in lieu of being repaid a debt by a friend back in the '70s. Mine had a headstock break that I repaired very nicely and someone had gone all rattle can and painted the body black. I spent an entire summer patiently getting the black (and then red) off and revealed a beautiful mahogany body. It had a wonderful round full neck that felt like home and a Bigsby tailpiece. I got it cleaned up right up to the point of refinishing and then had to go back to college. I put it in my closet for safekeeping. When I came back, my mother had emptied out my closet and it had been thrown away, Bigsby, pickups, everything.

    My only corvette. [IMG]

Now that is extremely cool; not sure I've ever seen one before. Congratulations and enjoy.
