Finally got everything for my build. It's going to be a little slow going with my work schedule but I'll get there. Will be using Tru-Oil on the maple neck ( not the rosewood ).

    Here's the specs:

    Warmoth Graffiti Yellow Alder body
Warmoth Modern neck with dark rosewood fingerboard and 6150 Stainless Steel fret wire, Compound 10" - 16" radius, 21 fret
Warmoth 3-ply W/B/W 8 hole pickguard with tele single coil neck and no holes for the pickup.
    Fender vintage string-thru-body 3 brass saddle bridge ( non-compensated )
    Fender Pure Vintage 64' pickups
Kluson Deluxe Tuners ( machine heads ) with Saf-T Posts
    Tusq XL nut
CTS 250k solid brass shaft pots
    Oak Grigsby 4-way switch
    Sprague Orange Drop capacitor
Either Grease Bucket or Treble Bleed circut ( haven't decided yet )
    Switchcraft jack
    Cloth push back wiring
Allparts Electro-Socket style chrome input jack cup
chrome hardware ( strap buttons, string tree, etc...)

I haven't played these pickups yet. They may change.

And the obligatory crappy cell phone pics:

Nice! Very cool to see that color in actual photos, I've been wanting to do a graffiti yellow strat. Looks like a cool build, can't wait to see it done!

    Thanks for the comments!

And a couple more pics. The rosewood has a nice tight grain and the clay dots are great!

I've wanted a Graffiti Yellow Fender ever since I saw a GY Strat in E.U. Wurlitzer across the street from Berklee School of Music when I was in my teens (80s). It reminded me of a gum-ball with strings...

Mind if I ask what you paid for the parts? Or at least, just the GY body?

Looks very cool, can't wait to see the final product!

The body was $295 from Warmoth. It was in their Gallery, not a special build.

All in all I've got about $650 or so into it. About the price of a MIM standard but with some better features.

Thanks again for the kind words everybody!

Nice man! I bought all the parts and had mine built last year. I got a steal on reverb for the white fender MIM new replacement bodies and it turned into a project faster than I thought. Looks like a nice project!

    Cool!

    Post some pics!

    What are the specs?

Almost went with one of those white bodies.

I usually love yellow and white together. But that yellow is a little too yellow for me. Still, it'll be unique and pretty cool.

It is a little loud, intense and obnoxious.
    Suits my playing style!

Color very cool in my book, clay dots on rosewood better yet from my seat.

I did stainless 6105 on my last Warmoth neck. If you like them one tenth as much as i do, you will be ecstatic. Especially if you like bending a full fifth here and there.

    How is the weight?

I started using stainless frets a little over 2 years ago and wonder what took me so long. Got them on an esquire that has been played pretty much everyday since built. It's my number one guitar. Still look like new. They are only slightly brighter sounding imo and I do go through strings faster but I'd rather change strings than frets.

The body is supposed to weigh approx. 5 lbs even. Haven't put it on my scale yet. I figure assembled it will be 7lbs or so. Pretty typical for a poly finish I think.

The piece of tree I figure will dictate it. But old farts like me like 6-7 lbers. ;)

Ended up putting a fender logo from etsy as a waterslide and it looks sick! This guitar I will never sell and when I get tired of I'll just store it away or change something about it!
