Been a while since I posted. Just finished this one last night. Hollowed sapele body, maple cap, bubinga neck, cocobolo fretboard. Fralin Blues Special pups. Gotoh cut Tele bridge. TonePros vintage tuners. Machine screws and inserts for the neck attachment. Maple stained directly. Polyester grain fill/base coat, automotive urethane topcoats. Stainless Jescar frets. Bone nut. Allied Lutherie truss rod. (I need to replenish those, and the price has gone WAY up! Boo!)

Thanks, folks. I kinda got on an effects-building kick, and took a hiatus from guitars. Back to having fun with wood again.

I will say that polyester grain fill is AMAZING. Makes the urethane topcoat so much better.

That is beautiful!! Could you elaborate on the polyester grain fill? Do you spray it on? What brand do you use?

Thanks. I used spray-on Simtec 28x50. I have also used (more recently) Solarez polyester. It's UV-cure - sun-cured, actually. The Simtec sands more easily, though, I must add. Both work very well, and a transparent fill is just beautiful. The best part of the polyester fill, though, is that it *does not shrink at all.* Once cured, it's done.

Polyester STINKS TO HIGH HEAVEN, though. Be warned. Also, you must cover all skin, not just have a breathing apparatus. MEKP is bad stuff, and styrene isn't much better.
