Picked this up locally from a guy on CL for two hundred dollars. Plays great, but I'm worried that it's not quite sparkly enough....

Anyway, wondering if anyone had advice on strings for a bari. I'd like to be able to tune it to open C or something similar, but the 8 string slinky's I picked up from GC won't get me there. Thoughts?

i have one of these in black. you got a nice price!

mine is strung as a bass 6,
i have the daddario xl set in 14-68 on my baritone strat, and they work great on the dano. no problems tuning to B or A.
but ya, maybe you need a heavier set.

I use a .014 - .070 GHS set for tuning down to B & A. It came from either juststrings.com or stringsandbeyond.com; search "baritone" at either of those sites and you'll get a number of options.
