Does this qualify as "Cabronita"?
Close, but still very cool. It needs Filtertron style pickups to be a Cabronita IMO.
Nice. To me it's not a Cabronita because the Gretsch-type pickups are required. But it's a very cool guitar in it's own right.
TV Jones Filtertron type pickups sound great, and drop right in IF you use their English mounts.
Nice looking guitar!
No, not with those pickups.
This is a Cabronita...
Nope! Still cool though!
Love the color but the pickup rings and the knob too close to the pickguard kill the look to me.
What is it ?
Is that the Rutters bridge? I have his saddles on three of my guitars and they're great, but that bridge looks rad.
The black one has a Callaham bridge, 2011 MIA body, TV Jones Powertrons and I made the pickguard and the neck.
I like the combo of body color and pg color.
Have not played a Gretsch (or anything wearing Filtertrons) so I can't weigh in on significance of the pups. Most important, however, is how it fits YOU and if your ears are happy.

The Filtertrons are the whole thing.
