52 tele into 74 vibrolux, helped along with a RTO. Rock and roll bliss, if superbly nasty is your idea of bliss.
i have been mostly farting around with strats the past few years, but i think i am becoming a telecaster guy now. the higher degree of presence is addictive.
Looks great congratulations, What's with the tape on the bridge treble side?
that lowermost bridge saddle screw has a sharp edge on it and I kept gashing my finger. I need to dress it with a file, but the duct tape's covering it ok for now. pretty much my whole world is held together with duct tape.
the thing that amazes me about this guitar is how good it sounds - so much head and shoulders above any guitar I've owned. I didn't even ask what kind of pick-ups are in it when I bought it, I know what kind of pick-ups they are: perfect.
having played strats, I've always avoided the bridge p-up. but even when I've played teles, I didn't think the bridge p-up on those i'd played sounded "right". but this one is a freaking Monster. it's a world unto itself! but the other two positions sound wonderful, too.
I want another one! I want two more! i'm addicted to the good stuff, now.
Sweet. Enjoy! But be careful it's a slippery slope.
PS. Like the amps too.
Congrats! Looks great and I bet it does sound fantastic...
Gorgeous Telecaster, no doubt about it. Congrats!
And my dream amp, too.
Congrats, that guitar looks great. And it probably is a blast to play too.
Wanna sell me that crappy ole Vibrolux?
nope! silver face fenders: junky. ugly sounding. utterly worthless. nobody wants them. but i'll give you four dollars for it, just to get it out of your way.
seriously, guys, those old 70's fender amps are pure junk. they aren't worth much. if anybody has one, i'll be nice and take it off your hands, cause I feel sorry for you.
Sweet looking 52. One's never enough...
congrats man she is a beauty!
That’s a beaut!
You've waited too long.
Suggest getting those shorter sized screws for the protruding ones. I've done this on all my Teles now and now it's smoothsville in the saddle department.
In your case, Kentucky Chrome
Just curious, do you know how much it weighs?
congrats - beauty guitar
Fender CS does tone right for sure. Bet it sounds killer
