Found this steal on Amazon. They had some special deals going on where price would drastically drop for one sale of a model. Got this 50's roadworn for $594.20 new!

First off, I'm not a big relic fan, but the price was too good to resist. That said, I do like the lacquer feel. The neck feels great, i wasn't sure about the 7 1/4 radius but it's just fine. The frets do stick out a hair, maybe the neck shrunk. Not bad, but you can just feel them. The only bad thing is that with Tele bridges, there are no string grooves so string spacing is not perfectly even. The low E, slides down the saddle a bit too much and looks off. The neck has faint flaming too. Sounds great and today I will get more time to bond with it.

Nice score. I really like the road worn series. The relic work may not be to everyone's taste, but they fit like a comfortable pair of bluejeans

Very nice. The second gen Roadworn series is far more tastefully done than the first IMO.

You can file a small shallow groove in the saddles to keep the strings from wandering around.
    Doesn’t take much.
You may need to raise the saddle heights equal to the depth of the groove, so just a 1/4 turn or less.
Also cover the file with a little 400 grit paper and run it over the grooves a few times to make the groove smooth so it does snag the strings.
You could do the whole job in 10 minutes or less.

I always loved the feel of them even from the start, but the "wear" on the maple necks was just laughable.

Wow! If I didn't know that the bridge pup was new, I would think it was from the 50s :)

I love my Rutters compensating saddles, and they have grooves...

It starts to look better once it gets dirty but yeah was a nice idea executed poorly.. I managed to snag a used one that had previously been sent out for fret dressing and a new nut and it's nce of my favs to play. What I really like about the road worns is that I can leave them out in my LR & Den for noodling and don't really care if they get knocked down by the dog or if the grand kids want to mess with them when they're visiting.

Beautiful guitar! I have been looking for the same one! Can you send me the link! Sale probably over now but can you give me some tips on how you came across the deal? Were you just randomly looking on amazon and found it? Awesome deal!
