These Martin 15’s are more difficult to capture on photograph convincingly but here is the follow up to my previous NGD of the first 000-15m I donated - I missed that “Brown Martin” so much I had to purchase another one, and this time a quite noticeable difference - consistently rich tone and soft on the ear when required, not so astringent.

Aesthetically there is a noticeable twist in the rosewood fretboard grain at the first fret, less wood scent, and what looks like faint bluish discolouration on the edge of the top at the soundhole.

It’s not been easy to put this one down at the end of the practice sessions.

I bought one of these new a few years ago. I chose it for it's woody tone. I like that it doesn't sound like steel strings.

I’m a big fan and player of that model. Yours is a beauty. Congratulations!

I have considered those or the D-15M for awhile now. I really like the sound and lack of bling associated with them. I just haven't been able to choose which one yet.

    Congrats!

I've got a 00-15m, a custom model from LA Guitar Sales (great specs, 1 3/4 nut etc.),.. bought it new, played the heck out of it for the last 6-7 years. It's the perfect 15, rich and full, fat trebles, balanced, plays great, looks cool, the whole package.

Took me five 15 series,.. a 000, three OMs (one cutaway), a J and then the keeper, the 00. I like mine so much it bought it some Waverlys.
