I saw this locally , I liked the look of it, and I was really impressed with the feel and sound, very light too.
I haven't really been looking for or at anything in newer guitars, this is the first guitar in a long time that I played that I liked enough to buy and I got a good deal on it to boot, it's lightly used.

It's a USA made PRS S2 standard 22 in the McCarty satin tobacco sunburst.
Locking tuners, coil split with the tone pot, and to me at least it sounds good in single coil and humbucker modes. The finish is real thin, almost feels like a well played vintage neck.

I brought it home and have been playing it nonstop, looking forward to trying it out at the next band rehearsal.

I've never liked the aesthetics of PRS guitars but I love this model! Congratulations.

Thanks, the neck is assymetrical and it feels great sort of reminds me of an old Les Paul that I owned but a bit different.
And unplugged the guitar is very loud and resonant, it's fun to play unplugged too!
here is my actual guitar, I had a set of the amber PRS knobs , changed the black ones to amber, what ya think? I kinda like them better.

The S2 line IMO is the most outstanding value going in US made electric guitars. I want one really, really badly. I keep playing them and falling further in love.

That combination of build quality, playability, sound, and fit and finish just can't be found anywhere else at that price point. And ESPECIALLY used.

The S2 line knocks the value:$$$ ratio out of the park.

What color did he get? I have only seen the sunburst in person.

I got a chance to try out the PRS S2 Std 22 at band practice tonight, it was great.
It is a very comfortable guitar to play , I really like the feel of the neck, and as mentioned it's a light guitar.
The pickups sound very good, fat humbucker tones and the coil split sounds are nice too, not exactly the same as a real alnico single coil like a Strat or Tele but it's a nice option that works well and sounds good.
Just for kicks down the road I may add a mini phase switch for some Albert King / Peter Green tones.

This guitar and my Am Special Strat will be all I will need for gigs I think.
