My wife and I just bought a vacation home in northern Ontario where we will retire one day. It has an awesome 2 car garage that will hopefully serve as my shop some day. It's about as big as my current shop, but much nicer and cleaner.

    It's a blank slate.

The deal closes on May 15th and I can't wait to get in there and figure out how I'm going to get things set up!!

Has a nice woodstove. Might look at adding something "under floor" as well.

It's funny how we reveal our interests and priorities :).

Hey, I just bought a new house - here's a picture of the garage!

    I can definitely relate ;).

    Should make a great shop!

edit: Is that a lake down at the bottom of the hill?

    Best Regards,
    Geo.

I stuck my head in the attic. It's got some pretty hefty trusses, but yeah, that amount of snow kinda freaked me out.

I bought our current house before I met my wife. I spent 10 minutes in the house and half an hour in the shop and then put in an unconditional offer. The real estate agent thought I was an idiot.

    Wonderful!

We're waiting for the contractor to put in his bid on my "retirement" shop. It will be similar in size but with no chance at such a snow load (located in South Carolina). I've been doing nothing but different shop machine layouts...
