    Hi Everybody.....

Firstly I apologise if this has already been asked, but my search turned up nothing.....

Can anyone tell me if the old style Tele bridge will fit straight on to one of the new Player series, as it did on the old Mexi Standards?

    Many thanks

Certainly looks like it - 4 mount holes in front of the string through holes.
Looks like all they changed was the saddles.

I believe if it's got the 4 screw mount it'll be a direct swap. Wouldn't make any sense at all for them to have changed it.

I've borrowed John C's image from another thread, brand new gorgeous Player in Sonic Red.

Notice how that bridge mount screw on the left shows so prominently. That's evidence that this is still the same 4 mount hole configuration and that you are in the clear to switch easily over to the old Leo plate with the 3 barrel saddles. Darren Riley is your best vendor choice.

Unless he's now offering free international shipping Darren Riley is certainly not his best vendor choice - OP is in the UK.

Please share with us where you can get the mild compensated brass saddle set from FMIC, in the UK.

    Thanks.

This is the product I'm talking about:

This specific choice really is worth whatever you have to do to get them.

IMO if you're not going to hustle and get these saddles, you may as well simply buy a different model of Fender Tele. These saddles are great, somehow they don't appear on the Fender models they should appear on, and IMO if you're taking pains to make a bridge change, you've got to do it right.

Thanks for the info. I already have an original vintage style Fender bridge that I bought for a project ages ago and never used. I was wondering if I got one of these if I could just swap it over. Looks promising.
