Hi folks. I'm learning to play at 60+. I've always liked Teles, and I just have to roll my own, so I've begun scoping, planning, and ordering parts for a Tele build while I learn to play. This site has a wealth of info, and I look forward to learning as I go.

Welcome (kinda) youngster! You know you don't have to do like the Wright Brothers and build your own plane to be able to learn to fly! ;) What are you actually learning on? And remember....ask your questions here.....I bet you'll get one or two answers!

    Thanks guys.

I'm "learning" on an old Coronado resonator conversion (it's for sale) and a low-end Epiphone LP.

    Welcome !

I'm learning at slightly younger than you .

The hearting thing is that most of the people I play with are older than me , plently in their 70s, 80s, and even 90's . But most of them started younger , but sometimes took a decade or two break inbetween .

Added - And please tell us about your Coronado Resonator conversion . As a Resonator guy , I'm intrested .

Biggfoot, my Coronado was converted to resonator before I got it, which was over 30 years ago. It's been sitting in the back of one closet or another for all that time; I got it on a trade and didn't really play it until a month or so ago. It began life as a Coronado I, in sunburst. Serial # puts it at 1973 or 74. Since 24 Track said I needed to post pictures:cool:, I'll get one and post it. Might be tomorrow, though.

    Thanks again.

Welcome good luck and don't sweat your age. I started to play guitar when I was 10 but was 55 when I bought and started to play my first set of drums. If it's something that you have to do, that you're passionate about, you'll do it.

Also check out Warmoth.com for some parts, especially body and neck, and their unofficialwarmoth.com forum for great help.

Never too late. Enjoy the build - and look forward to the second. And third.
