I've been sans Tele for a few months now, paid out for a cruise at the start of next year, so sold a couple of bits off to fund it. Now back with 2 guitars, this, and my Jaguar.

That's very nice! If you're the sort that likes to tinker a bit, I'd love to see what the back side of that humbucker looks like!?!?

    Congratulations!
This is a very nice guitar I have been eyeing too, hope everything goes well with it and am expecting a NGD thread very soon.

    Enjoy it!

Cool — that’s one that caught my eye too. Hope it gives you much pleasure!
(My only problem with the Custom and the Deluxe is always the number of knobs & the switch placement... I think I’d have to get a custom scratchplate and rewire with simple man’s Tele controls...)

Niiice. I'm a Sonic Blue fan and would love to have that version of this guitar.

How are they different from other '50s and '60s throwback Fenders?

Is the Wide Range Humbucker going to constructed like the actual pickup from the 70's or just another humbucker dressed up in a WRHB cover?

I don't think there is much difference on this one, maybe the single coil and humbucker. I read the humbucker is wide range, whatever that means. Technically I'm a total novice when it comes to pickups. I just know what I like when I hear it. This one I ordered on the strength of a video on the Fender site, yes I'm easily swayed lol!

I have no other knowledge on the humbuckers. Except I fell for the Tele, my first that without the bog standard classic look.

Sadly it's just another bog-standard humbucker dressed up to look like a Wide Range. Alan from Fender explains that at the 35:50 mark of this video on the Andertons channel.

Also, he pronounces CuNiFe in a way I'm just gonna call "funny".
