after welding the steel part i drill some holes on top of it so i can screw the steel on the wood later i close the holes (welding)
this is how it is gonna look like
if i cut one body i can make 2 guitars
the body is one i had here about 4 years so i have to do something with it
now i have to sand it all the way and start thinking about how to finish it
maybe the wood shiney black and shiny steel top
    any suggestions

That's awesome! It looks fantastic. Looks a bit off the Yin en yang symbol. I would paint the wood white. But whatever you do, it's gone be great.

    Well done!

Cool idea! Reminds me of a yin yang. Interested to hear how it will sound

My first thought was cyborg tele. It's what the terminator would play for sure.

Finish? Show it for what it is I say. Polish the metal to a shiny battle star galactica centurion chrome and just lacquer the wood to a high gloss. :)

Ooooooh Hatcha' ! So very cool.

Tyler-cool. Nice work. Very creative.Along those lines, The Electric guitar Company is making guitars with hollw metal bodies as well as wood bodies and solid plex bodies
King buzzo had very accurate copy of his favorite les paul custom with kind of a double cut away (les paul jr.?) body

they always told me to give a name to a guitar so when people ask for a model you know where they are talking about
i gonna call this one a metalcaster hybride

+ 1 on what KWhatley said; high polished metal with lacquered wood to show off the materials.
    I think it's seriously kool!

Leave the wood natural for sure, if you painted it it wouldnt show off the contrast in the materials

between the wood and steel there was a opening that i have to fill with filler
the wooden body was years old and always lying there in the dirt so it was a little damage
as i told before i'm a bad woodworker
so i fill all the little holes and start to sanding it
then i paint everything red and black and sand it away
on the steel part till you see the steel, on the wood till you see the wood coming true
then i use my product for a light copper look
    this is the result
its for me a yes/no situation some like it some not
on my next hybrid build i will taking more care @ the wooden part
but now i can put some pickups on it tuners and strings to see how the steel part affects the sound
on the next hybrid i will make the wood dark
and the steel remains ..... steel with a light copper tint
