So I was cleaning up my shop and was about to throw out a pail of maple cut offs. Now being the COB that I am I couldn't do it and decided to glue them all together into the shape of a guitar. Then I glued maple caps front and back, and thickness sanded the whole mess. Since I have never built a set neck guitar yet I thought this would be the perfect Guinea pig. Any guesses as to the model I am aiming for? IMG_20181201_181716_753.jpg

I just weighed it, 5 pounds and 11 ounces, not overly heavy.

Might I suggest a two pick up Gibson style Marauder with the flying vee head.... I know I know everybodies and art director. BUT, the world needs a well built Marauder, really, maybe:twisted:
you could set it up with a tele bridge pickup in a tele bridge with a P-90 in the neck. nudge, nudge, nudge

Wraparound bridge, P90 pickup in the bridge area and a real deal Firebird in the neck. Oh Yeah.

I like using heel adjustable truss rods, especially on a thin neck. I machined a groove to allow my Allen wrench enough clearance. 20190110_203911.jpg
