Hey hold on, keep you hands away from the drill! It's perfect like this.

Maybe make a lexan guard and shade around the neck PU same color on the back of the guard ala paisley style guard.

It looks beauteous as is, i agree 110%

Some other possible nice touches might be a irory swith tip and some similarly colored yarn bridge PU wrap to pick up the clay dots...

I think it is because of the binding, it is highlighting the body contour in a nice way, and the red color pops even more. A guard would destroy the balance.

I don't like no guard teles, and especially that route around the neck pickup being exposed. But I'm with everyone else on this one. NO guard!! If it were mine I'd get one of those pickup rings to dress up the route and leave it as is.

    Very nice guitar!

Yeah, maybe one of those chrome PU rings to cover the route.

But pick scratches on the paint if you are going to gig it or otherwise use it a lot will accrue certainly.

You could go on eBay and get a portion of the Auto clear bra material to otherwise protect from pick wear. Remember why pickguards are called 'guards' after all. ;)

3M makes a variant, but SunTek make some less orange peel-ish once applied IMO, yada...

Never mind, you'll put a guard after it is scratched. Or never.

Fiesta...the back has some grain popping through...so its a real thin coat on it.

That's a beautifull white pickguard on a telecaster, but I prefer the red guitar in the first pic. ;)

PG matches and looks nice. I would probably try a pickup ring on the neck. Black around chrome contrasting the bridge assembly.
