This popped up on my local CL - priced low enough (for a vintage blackface Fender) to seriously consider. I’ve wanted a Vibrolux Reverb for at least a few years, and while I sooner imagined getting a silverface, this one seemed too good to pass up. Picked it up yesterday.

    Has Jensen C10NS speakers.

Very clean for its age. Also it is due for servicing, 3 prong plug, caps, etc. But I am very excited! Probably going to be my new go-to amp, I’d say.

Nice. I’ve given up on CL. Anything I find on there that I want is either already sold or the seller never replies to me.

Nice amp! My '67 Vibrolux Reverb is my number one amp. I'll never let it go.

You saved yet another amp from becoming a museum piece. I'll bet some folks in Japan are furious that you would have the audacity to actually play it.

I miss my BFVR. Loud enough to do anything, great BF tone, and could imitate brownface, just a bit, by turning bass and treble down, then turning volume up.

    Happy NAD!

A friend back in high school had one of those. Both guitar players in his band had Fender Mustangs and BF Fender amps. The other guy had a Twin. They did all the hit tunes of the day with those rigs and made 'em sound good. Get it serviced and keep it going for another 50 years.

Thanks, folks! Got to jam a little and show it off earlier this evening (honest, it's seeing an amp tech tomorrow...) - sounds really dang good with my ES 335. And the Klon KTR I have has taken on glorious new meaning.

    Congrats, I love Vibrolux’s.

You got a great one and the best speakers for a VR.

I owned very nice ‘65 VR (with Jensen’s), an original and mint ‘68 black-line drip-edge VR, and a nice ‘73 VR.

My BFVR was the best sounding of the bunch. Sounded so good with the volume at 4 and above.

I regrettably sold my last ‘73 VR, and then bought a SFDR, and now a BFTR. I am happy with my BFTR but I would have saved lots of cash by just keeping my Vibrolux.

    Enjoy.

My favorite fender amp of all time. I have 2. A 1965 and a 1972. Both sound fabulous.
