To clarify, I'm putting together a 3 piece, 4 tops, group to play bars around the Tidewater Virginia area. I want to play mostly redneck biker bars, not society gigs. This area is kind of unusual in that there is a huge transient military presence here at all times. There are people coming and going from literally everywhere.

This area also has a fairly strong country clientele and is big into NASCAR.

I wnat to know the 20 must play tunes to successfully play these type establishments. For instance, Sweet Home Alabama is a must as well as Tush by ZZ Top.

Please reply with your ideas of what tunes would make up the top 20 must play tunes as I've tried to describe.

    Thanks!

Born To Be Wild, the obvious one. Older stuff by John cougar seems to go down good. the Boys Are Back in Town. Livin After Midnight, Judas Priest. I think they used to have a motorcycle onstage for that one and lots of riders remember it.

"screaming night hog" by steppenwolf. best song they ever recorded, IMHO, and have never heard it played by any cover band.

Check out some Chris Knight, most any of his would work as well.

I played a lot of biker bars in my life, can't really remember what all we played, the songs I know are from way back:

    Gimme 3 Steps-Skynyrd
    Roadhouse Blues-The Doors
Born To Be Wild-Steppenwolf (of course)
    Bad Moon Rising-CCR
    Highway To Hell-AC/DC
    Beer Drinkers, Hell Raisers-ZZ Top
    Cocaine-Clapton
    Hard To Handle-Black Crowes
    LaGrange-ZZ Top
    Two Tickets To Paradise-Eddie Money
    Statesboro Blues-Allman Bros.
    Wishing Well-Bad Company

That's the best I can remember.

I would think anything off of the Sons of Anarchy Sound track would fit pretty well.
