I have had my eye in 2 teles and now I'm a tad concerned about the neck shape.
I have been looking at the Wildwood Thinskins and the new American Originals....

My concern is that I have always played American Standards and these 2 models have a little different nut size etc.

Anyone have any input into how I can digest the differences?

My main issue is that the high and low e's will be too close to that "rolled edge" too much differently than I'm used to.

All this info has me looking at the Elite Tele vs the Nitro finished ones I was hoping for.

What is "vintage" about the American Originals/Wildwood Thinskins?

Nut size is 1.650 vs a little wider on Standards. And bridge spacing is a little more narrow I believe in the thinskin.

1.650" vs 1.685" you aren't going to feel much difference.
They are both 9.5 radius which is not vintage by any means.
They have bastardized the vintage spec neck with the American Original to make it more "playable" that you shouldn't feel any difference between these necks as far as I'm concerned.
We've come a long way since varying necks of the early 2000s.

I'm mostly obsessing about the string being too close to the edge but I'm sure I'm just being obsessive and thinking too much about this.
