The neck fits in the pocket but it ends up being angled down and no one has tried to fix it

Measure twice... cut it out with a sharp chisel.

Send it back. Not an easy fix unless you are really good at it.

Send it back. The reason you pay for a routed body is so you don't have to route it yourself, which is what you'd have to do to make that right.

I can't believe someone would have sold that. Who is the seller?

Use it. Than give the guitar a crazy name... Maybe the 'wonkycaster'

No recovery for the poor craftsmanship exhibited by this piece of work.
    Send it back.
Put this seller/luthier on your short list of 'Do Not Ever Use'

Send it back, even if you wanted to try and clean it up, that's too critical of an area to have to mess with. A guitars worth and playability comes from the necks relationship to the body. Don't chance it.

It's almost insulting that they didn't even remove the pencil line where it was supposed to be cut.
