Reeves Custom 50PS, 2x12 cab loaded with Celestion Creambacks. Tone is monstrous.

The amp on top is a Roland Blues Cube Artist 80W. It looks small next to the Reeves cab. :)

Is that a narrow port under the grille cloth? That setup looks fantastic, happy plucking!

I almost bought a used Harry Joyce 100 head but the $2k price was more than I could manage.
    Great great sound though.

I believe they call it slot load venting. It's to improve bass response. I also asked Bill to install an fx loop. All I can say is.... Wow. This amp is crazy good. Ranks up there with other high end boutique builders. The craftsmanship is flawless. Could not be happier.:)

If you run these in stereo, which one do you select as dry / wet ?

    Ok - Eddie.

That is what plan to do today. I will place the Blues Cube so that I can get maximum effect. The Blues cube has onboard reverb if I need it so i am thinking that that will be the dry. The Reeves will be the wet, as the Flint and El Cap are currently in the loop for it, and sound fantastic. Should be fun!:)

Looks nice. With all the Strymon pedals I am assuming you play church music, lol...

No, no church music. Nothing wrong with P&W music tho! :) I own the Flint, El Cap and a DIG. The Flint and El Cap are for Floyd stuff and the DIG was primarily to cop some U2 Edge tones. The Reeves gets me that massive clean sound upon which to build some great tones. I can Dial in some really nice SRV Lenny tones now.:)

Never played a Reeves amp but I’ve read great reviews.

    Congrats.

Been playing a lot today. It's a fantastic pedal platform, but the clean sound blows me away. I have played Fender Princetons, Bassbreakers, DRRI, but the Custom 50 is in another league.

I've lusted after Reeves amps for years but never pulled the trigger on one. Happy new amp day!

It's a Custom 50(as you all can see from the pics:)) with power scaling and tube buffered fx loop. 2x12 cab with Celestion Creambacks.

This amp is new territory for me. The clean headroom is just mind boggling. Rich and chimey.....cant get over it. I am actually dreaming about it. Lol. Jumpering the bright and normal inputs gives you infinite tonal possibilities especially if you factor in guitar volume/tone controls. Also, this amp is the best pedal platform I have ever played, period.

Am running Earthquaker Warden, Hoof and Westwood in front and Strymon Flint, El Cap and DIG with MXR Analog Chorus and Phase 95. The power scaling can give you gain/breakup that would otherwise be unattainable at lower volumes.

When people in the past have compared high end boutique/hand wired builds vs the standard production line amps(nothing against that as I have played some great ones), I could never really comment. Now, I can say that this Reeves Custom 50 is THE BEST amp I have ever played.

It's probably not an amp I could gig with, but I'd sure love to plug into it and try 'er out!

    Happy NAD!

Been taking this amp through its paces. One observation is that my drive pedals sound very different through this amp. I put it down to the massive headroom, so you can max out the drive and it just does not quit. Other amps will distort and flub out. The Reeves just keeps sounding better and better. I can get AC/DC tones on a Tele..... just an amazing amp.
