Picked up a 1974 Fender Deluxe Reverb and this Two Rock 1x12 cab.

Not home yet, and no pictures of the amp, but I do have the store photo of the cab.

The amp is in fair-original condition. It still has the original speaker inside and sounds good, but the speaker is torn in a few spots. For now, I’ll swap in a C12N Jensen RI that I have stashed away in the closet. Maybe put in a Weber or an Alessandro speaker in it down the road.

I’ll post some pictures of the amp once I get it home and cleaned up a bit.

    Thanks Mick,

It has Two Rock’s TR12-65B speaker inside. From what I’ve read it is a special TR designed Warehouse Speaker (guessing similar to a Celestion G12-65).

The cab is ported in the back and is the perfect size (22” wide x 12” deep x 18” high) for my two Marshall Astoria combos.

The original Utah was full of holes so I put in a Jensen C12N RI that I had boxed in the closet. Also the Reverb pan had a broken spring. Also replaced the pan with a ‘73 pan that I had.

Everything seems to be working. Really have not had any time with the amp. Original Mallory filer caps will be replace soon. As far as I can tell, it is all original and not been touched inside(?).

Very nice, looks to be in great shape. I think out of all the Deluxe Reverb amps that I have owned, the 74 was the best sounding.

The DR cleaned up pretty well. Sure did not look like this when I purchased it yesterday.

Gorgeous amp. I've been looking for one for many months. When do come around they are normally out of my price range. Enjoy!!

I too have a couple of my amps on those furniture dollys. A hernia once taught me that it is easier to roll than to lift.

I had a water line break during the night in my last house. I woke up to an inch of water in every room. These furniture dollies saved my amp collection. Lucky my guitars were also off the floor.

I am now paranoid leaving amps directly on the floor overnight.

The amp didn’t look so great when I bought it. The amp was very dirty and I doubt that it was ever cleaned in the past 45 years.

I was pretty happy after taking the amp apart and actually seeing the good condition (other than the reverb pan and speaker which I knew was bad).

    The cleaning payed dividends.

Thread took a turn at this post. Glad your amps are dry, sorry about everything that's not.

Happened over 4 years ago, but took about a year to get the house back in shape and luckily insurance covered most everything.

House has since been sold and I moved on. All good now.

Same here. I echo every word you said. Using a dolly is a no-brainer.

Very nice amp, btw...congrats. And great job cleaning it up! Any cleaning tricks to share?

Also, I know you are a Boogie guy. I am currently waiting delivery on an excellent condition Mark 1 RI. Very curious to see how it compares/contrasts to my '79 Mark IIA. Love the old Mark tones.
