The second the doorbell rang today I knew what was waiting on the other side of the door - My most recent purchase. A 1965 UL705 5watt *ALL TUBE* EL84 with the original Mullard in it... Oh yes.

Eager hands ripped the shipping box apart, along with a few miles of bubble wrapping... It was a sight to behold, and my dear wife took one look and slowly backed away from the frenzy.

This thing is.... Well, I am speechless. I read somewhere that these, a short run of all tube amps before they ventured into the transistor area, were *cough* influenced *cough* by Vibro Champs - And indeed they are, but with that EL84 'bite' to it.

Got kids to feed, a wife to entertain and chores to complete - But it is going to be an all nighter with pedals and fun!

Nice! Make sure to play "Paperback Writer" - Paul used the UL705's bigger brother, the 7120, to record the screaming lead on his Casino. :)
