This was one of the first songs I ever wrote, back 1970 when I was in the Navy.
When I recorded it, I tried several guitars for the lead part, but the Les Paul really seemed like the right sound.
Mike Bloomfield was a big influence when I was learning to play blues, also of course Eric Clapton on the "Beano" album. Back then I didn't have the ability to play along with albums, but I was always listening and then certain ideas would just pop out in my playing.
This song always gets a good response from the audience even though I've always played in classic country bands.

Yeah! It almost sounds like Bloomfield. Well done.

Maybe you or YT set it for US viewers only, because of copyright or something?
Happens too often with videos on TDPRI...

Very nice track and as stated, the guitar tone and those blues riffs are awesome! Love the walking bass.

Very nice and a sweet tone. My favorite sounding amp, so that makes sense. When was it recorded?

I dig this relaxed style! Such a nice smooth bluesy feel and yeah, I think you got real close to the Beano tone.
    Very cool man!

For me the "Beano" tone stands out as the template for "awesome tone"
If you play a variety of styles, obviously there are going to be tunes for which that tone is not going to be appropriate.
The discerning musician uses the right tone for the musical setting.
In a blues setting, and especially a shuffle, it's Les Paul time for me !!
