Well it is a sad day, my Sweetwater Sales Engineer quit. I had built up a good relationship with him and always got great prices. Did any one else have Mike La Fratte as their rep?

Sorry your guy quit. Try using Jeff Bohan, he's exceptional, especially at taking care of problems in a quick professional manner. Great Sales Engineer.

I have always used Matt Kreager, he's been responsive and supportive.

Mike (last name like an organ) was mine and I was surprised he left. He was working on getting me some bandmates that play in time and not too loud. I expected to pay through the nose for that.

I’ve spent a lot of money on guitars, amps and ancillary items from Sweetwater and having “my” sales guy help me or someone else never mattered to me...It was always good service.

I don't know what happened to my guy. A few years ago I stressed that I only want to communicate via email because the phone calls always interrupted me. All was well for a while.

I emailed my sales engineer (Kenny Stratton) a few weeks ago asking for advice in putting together a simple home recording set up and I haven't heard back from him. I guess I didn't spend enough money there for them to keep me as a client. Come to think of it, its been awhile since I've even received a catalog.

Its kind of strange. I like Sweetwater. I'm definitely going to buy something for recording this summer, but I guess I'll have to either go elsewhere or get a new sales engineer.

Yeah, the calls drive me nuts; I prefer email as well. That's odd they didn't get back to you, Musician's Friend is doing the Sales Engineer thing now too.

Thanks, a new guy called me, doesn't seem to be a guitar guy, but I won't count him out yet. I'll keep all your recommendations in mind though.

I never thought much about who my "Sales engineer" was, until he was on vacation and my order got botched!!! I guess it is helpful to have a "go to guy" on the other end.

James Masterson is great. Left a voicemail yesterday ordering an Eminence speaker. Called me back within 20 minutes telling me I was good to go. Got an email that my order had shipped within an hour and Sweetrack says it’ll be here tomorrow. That’s good service.

I wonder if he’s any kin to Bat?

Mine is Dam Ameragon or something like that. The sales engineer from CE Dist calls me now and then. I asked him why they dont have a mid sized Fender replacement output tranny with multi tap. (Pro, Vlux, BM etc) He said "I dont think we'd ever sell enough of them to place an order". I'm not sure he really knew what I was asking for.

I have restraining orders out on 2 or 3 of them but I’m drawing a blank on their names just now .

Let me check the court papers...

I ordered a guitar case and my sales physician wouldn't leave me alone for months.

Buy a guitar from them and watch how hard they hang on, excruciating. But like others have said, I must have crossed the "dead weight" threshold because they finally gave up after 3 years.
