Doing another kit from from TubeAudioSupply.com. I love the painted chassis options.

My first build turned out amazing.
(here is the results post from the first thread)
This one will be the same parts, except SoZo caps and the Classictone transformer is the multi tap 4/8/16.

My first build thread was awesome and everyone helped out so much. I thank you all. This one I am hoping goes just as smooth but with fewer questions on my end.

Brown instead of oxblood for my chassis.

Not a whole lot accomplished tonight. But inputs wired, rectifier mostly done, and the power switch and fuse.

You can see an internal star washer near the input jacks. I started using those on pedals. Anyone that isn’t using them should start. Jacks and pots spinning when torquing down the nuts are a thing of the past. I don’t even need a pliers, fingers to get finger tight and then on to the socket driver good n tight.

Got my heater wires and my three jacks for a single 4, 8, 16 ohm out. No selector as they where just too big imo. I can always use a splitter box if I need more than one out for a load.

I guess I have taken way less pictures this time around. Almost done with the chassis and board.

Ya, but I think they are a little big but they seem to fit.

Input and controls wired. 28mm PEC pots. Getting close.

Nice looking board! I love the taper of the PEC pots for volume controls, but every one I have used ends up sounding scratchy through the speaker. It's a shame because they do have a very smooth taper.

That would bother me for a guitar volume, but on an amp I just don’t seem to care as much.

And it is ready for testing I think. But I am leaving for vacation in the morning so I am just going to let it marinate. I don’t want to spend all vacation trying to mentally troubleshoot if it doesn’t work lol.

Well I couldn’t wait. Who was I kidding.
It’s been tested now and it works. Sounds as good as the last one. I will do a head to head sometime in the future and do voltage measurements next week, but for now, life is good.

I only took one photo of it so far. I might do another whenever I get a cab.
Otherwise this is the finished build photo.

Not only are you a skilled builder but you're quite a photographer too. Very nice work on both.

All good amps deserve a nice power section...
