I got my CVC a bit less than a year ago. When you see the pic you'll know immediately that it is not normal. I put a CV Thinline maple-fretboard neck on my CVC and also installed a loaded plate with upgraded CTS pots and CRL switch, added switchcraft plug and Electrosocket jackplate. Not fooling with pups just yet but probably will swap in American Vintage 52s in her. Haven't moved fast on pups because I just plain enjoy playing this guitar. Right now I'm building a 5E3 clone amp and looking forward to plugging this Tele into that amp.

I did the same thing with mine! I've got a black 3 ply pick guard on mine too.
    Yours looks great.

Grey: I've thought about a black pg. Perhaps soon. Also looking at swapping out the pups. But again down the road. Right now she is just fun to play.
