I'll probably end up ordering a few, It'll have to wait though since the Wife and I are leaving for San Francisco Monday morning.

Here's my latest step in my "less is more...besides...straplocks is fa goils" crusade.
Punch a hole in the strap just big enough for the smaller, inside part of the strap button to go through, take the button off, put the strap on it and put the button back on.
I used to use a 10-cent fender washer, but now even that seems overly-complicated.

I just got two sets of the Danco washers, one for me and one for my son.

Looks amazingly similar to the setup on my Affinity Tele. One strap, two screws, and two quarters with holes drilled in 'em. Total cost fiddy cents:D

I watched "The Strat Pack" on Palladia a few weeks ago and it appeared as if Sir Dave had Grolshies on the #0001 Strat he was playing ( magnificently as always )

Update? How did you like using the rubber washers? I just got paid so I am thinking about picking some of these up myself. I am also picking up some beat maker software -- super pumped.

Locks are important. Solid body electrics are heavy. I've seen guitars and basses dinged, but even worse I've seen more than one person foul up the wrist on their fretting hand trying to make an ill-advised save. There's no overpowering that kind of torque with your wrist.
