    Splendid !

It's one of the few dark colored wood teles that I've seen around that i actually would get for me .. very great job !

the combination of dark/light wood & gold is really a looker !

    Congrats for this build !

I'm typically a traditionalist, in that I prefer 50's and 60's type of tele's. But this guitar is GORGEOUS!!!

    Seriously good work man!

    Oh yeah!

Great taste. I'm not usually a fan of no pickguards, but in that instance, it would indeed be a shame to cover that delicious walnut. The contrast with the perfectly matched pickup ring, controls and bridge is beautifully balanced. I hope it plays and sounds as wonderful as it looks.

Any chance of an updated pic in its finished state with the gold screws? Great suggestion by Ira7 for those.

I agree! I found a few options but I really dont need 25 or 50 gold screws :p plus the problem is compounded with the pickup screws and switch screws being different sizes... nothing in life is easy!

thanks! forgive my ignorance but what features are unique to the teles of the 50's and 60's? I really stuck with all vintage for this build. But I refuse to put paint and poly over nice wood :0

Thanks! much appreciated! I'll post an update when I get the next phase done, I'll be adding luminlays to the neck (black dots on a roasted neck are impossible see in low light) and applying another few coats of oil to the body. If I can find the right size gold screws, that will happen too!

I've used gold glitter nail polish for screw heads.

Did it turn out decent? the cost of nail polish is probably higher than finding and shipping the screws :)

I managed to find gold switch screws and gold bridge pickup screws, just the neck pickup screws to go
