So I wanted a Tele... decided to assemble my own. Had the body cut to vintage spec, walnut back with flame walnut top, Tung Oil Finish. Allparts flame maple neck with satin finish... super surprised with the quality of this neck, really amazing. Don't usually like Gold hardware but it this case it just felt right The bridge is Gotoh with no lip and compensated Ti saddles (a decision i came too after much reading on this forum) hand wound in USA pickups to vintage spec (Sullivan.. amazing.) "Greasebucket" wiring = clarity no plastic anywhere, knobs are water buffalo horn... cavity cover and pickup ring are flame maple. Zero Glide Nut... some hate these, I found it to be excellent... I also cut and slotted my own nut but the zero glide was an experiment and it worked out very well, so it stays on for now. I spend a lot of time on fretwork and setup, the thing plays better than any guitar in my collection. A friend of mine who plays Tele's exclusive was so impressed he commissioned me to build him 1 next year, very cool It was an amazingly fun project and the total cost a smidge over $800 I think the value is excellent for an instrument of this quality.
