917756C0-852C-4435-81BF-1F45B381CFC1.jpeg Came home for lunch this afternoon. While making lunch for my kids the kitty came into the kitchen and threw up black chunks. Sure enough I confirmed it was my guitar stand.
I had to get rid of another stand after he chewed all the black tubing off.
    Anyone else have this problem?

I'm impressed. Our Georgie can only handle paper and cardboard.

I have a few tools that have natural rubber handles from the olden days.
My cat licks them, and licks the rubber leg tips on a vintage music stand.
And a few 1950’s mic’s with attached cables.
Sodium or sulphur in the rubber process attracts their taste buds?

All my guitars with tremolos have the plastic ends of the tremolo chewed, they look like they've been knurled with tiny teeth marks.
They're partial to nicking my plectrums off the computer desk too, dozens have disappeared over the years and I've yet to find their hidey hole where they put them :p

smokie , had an affinity for elastic bands, tinsel, balloons, deflated of course, and string with knots in it , I do believe she was a yogi in another life , we had a saying during these trying times " if you saw it you owned it ". meaning the extraction of said devices, smokie also carted bells around the house , she would remove them from her toys and would just carry them around the house with her mouth and would play with them for hours , avery sweet, lovable ,and strange animal

I had a cat that liked to chew the foam padding off certain types of guitar stands, but he left the rubber on my Hamilton hanging stands alone.

The one to get is the KB-38.

    And here's a cute cat pic... DSC_1098.JPG

Trem (see avatar pic) does this too- along with an idiosyncratic selection of other household items including the handle on the coffee machine. Actually, he got his name when we realised the new kitten was chewing the "Trem" knob on a massive old Carlsbro Stingray combo I had at the time- never touched any of the dozen other seemingly identical knobs on it...:lol:

    What's wrong with them? They're cats, that's what's wrong...

I'll never understand why so many people are cat people. They're the worst. The cats...not the people. Well, maybe some of the people too.

Had a cat years ago that loved to eat any electric cord.
Had to keep putting tabasco sauce on them.

My "Smokey" gnawed the fingers off my motorcycle gloves. I think he was just bored.

Now I feel bad for putting catnip in the tubing while you were in the bathroom.

That's because you didn't have a better couch. That's like the Squier Bullet of couches in that pic.
