    I'd say it's a happy end.

I don't know many people about whom I'd talk so nicely after they pass away.

I can't thank you enough for the spools of magnet wire! Always think of you when I look at those. I have a couple vids that feature pickups I made and wound with that 44awg heavy. I'll DM you the links. Thank you again man!

Sara sent me an email yesterday. Sir Andrew is in her new forever home, and she's been renamed Charlotte. Probably less confusing than Sir Andrew. She also sent what so far I think is her best picture, which will be a great closure to this thread.

I'm glad she's got a new forever home.

I have to say, when I found Sara's auction page with all the photos, I got a little shiver thinking, wow, I could actually win this guitar. I'm sure anyone who bought a ticket got the same feeling.

DrASATele (Chris) contributed some primo wood also, OpenGCapo4 (Eric) offered some mesquite for fretboard, and many others made generous offers, and I got a lot of tips and advice from yet more guys here. Hat's off to all!

Thanks again, Dave, and all who have made such nice comments.

I am a master of monkey-see-monkey-do, and in all honesty that's all I can claim. So, as I see it, most of the builders here could have built this guitar, I just stood on the shoulders of some true craftspeople, used their methods and techniques, and plodded along. I do have the advantage and blessings of a good sized shop that is comfortable to work in, and a lifetime accumulation of tools, but I see so many others here building spectacular guitars with so much less, it's humbling. I also have the fearlessness and optimism of a fool who looks at bungee jumping and thinks, "hey, that guy survived, I can do this, too." Monkey-see-monkey-do. Maybe that's why Mr. Yeknom has such a big following here!
