Sweet guitar. I recently picked up a similar neck... it's the best neck I've ever played.

The date stamp is the earliest it could be. Dan might have gotten confused, as he had both a 67 maple cap, and a 66 maple cap at the same time. As far as the logo and tuners:

First half of 67 - klusons and transition logo

Second half - F-tuners and Black CBS logo.

    Same guitars otherwise.

One other thing. I got to play your guitar when Dan still had it. Great neck indeed!

Haha... sorry Dan, but that's not happening!! This one is becoming a family heirloom. Every time I pick it up I think to myself, "it can't be as good as I remember it being" and then I plug it in and time just fades away.

The combo of a sweet well played maple cap neck with Dan's magic pixie dust makes for a mean tele.

By the way Dan, do you remember if the neck pickup is a total custom wind or is it something off the shelf from Lollar?
