I love this track...never knew much about the band or listened to many of their other songs,,,

I love the cyclic repetition thing...the monotonous twangy thin guitars....simple lyrics, the timing, the gaps, the drum track that has subtle changes...Bassline then 'Cello as it fades.... just love the whole feel of the song...

It was only one of those FM radio tracks you'd hear now and then, but never catching who they were.... I couldn't remember the name of it for years, until I stumbled across it on ytube....

the album track is my fav version. though I can see how they played it now,,,:)

On the studio version I'm always drawn to the drummers snare hits... he just throws in some variations I find myself waiting for....... and the deep bass...

Lol! I dont mine some of the Carpenters songs, what got me into them is Karen nice soothing voice, and also their guitarist Tony Peluso was a good player, the outro solo on Goodbye to Love is superb, also it is tricky to play right anybody tried it.

I've always loved their non-disco stuff going all the way back to "Spics and Specks"
and all the way through "Islands In The Stream".

Also, I'll bet Dionne Warwick fans are hiding out here

I think was just said in jest a bit really, because it meaning mainly songs not to related to the guitar that much, and should be taken with a pinch of salt.

At least we know we are not alone.:)

Do You Know The Way to San José? I've got a Message to Michael to deliver. He may be surprised to find out what he caught when he fell in love with the wrong girl.

Never went for them, but they opened for acts that were way far away musicaly and every time the crowd and I loved them. They d sing parodies of their own hits.

dude, I forgot all about these guys. I had the CD back in the late 80s? totally ethereal and driving music. probably haven't heard that song in 15 years, very cool.

even though vapour trail was the hit, there are some other really good songs on that album. If you haven't listened to the whole thing, please do, in the dark, with headphones, loud enough to drown out that world and catch the groove. yeah, that cello is fantastic.

put on the headphones and listen to Paralyzed! The rim shots and searing guitar, love it. I got Nowhere when it was first released. In some way it sort of reminds me of the Cure circa Pornography in its originality.

I'm not embarrassed about any music I like, but as a stone cold rocker, even I am surprised at how much I like Toxic by Britney Spears. That's my jam, yo.

My band did a song from their first LP called Every Christian Lion Hearted Man. Fantastic slice of psychedelia that nobody had ever heard before.

"Bee Gee's First" is a fantastic album, except for the last few tracks that seem like filler. Albums should end strongly. But check it out, it has more hits than one of their disco albums.

I asked my parents to enroll me into music school, as I liked Timofei Dokschitzer and Louis Armstrong. So I went to a wind school. And look what's happened ))

    The Darkness
    MC Hammer
    Snow
    The B-52's
    The 5's-6's-7's-8's
    Boris
    Gackt

I can continue, but benevolent deviations are not shameful. And Ok, The B-52's is nyet a deviation. )) Well none of them. Whatever rocks your boat
