Down here in the Philippines where I'm visiting now, if you're in a cover band you must be able to play "Knock Three Times." They love yacht rock and the sappiest '70s singer-songwriter material you can possibly imagine in southeast Asia.

    They'll enjoy it.

    They'll request it.

    It's a guaranteed crowd-pleaser. Every. Single. Time.

Huh? Why would anyone be embarrassed about liking Kraftwerk? They're cool as!

Only embarrassing if you're dressed like them in some of their promo shots.

I played "Man I feel like a Woman" in one of the bands I was in. It was a blast! Just don't tell anyone.:)

We play "I Guess That's Why They Call It the Blues" usually very late in our set.. by that time the crowd are very well lubricated and they sing the house down, arms wrapped around each other etc.. it's the kind of song that no band plays, makes a nice change from the usual cover band stuff, and we play it a bit slower, heavier and dirtier than EJ, big harmonies in the choruses (not mine! ) and big climactic guitar solo instead of the chromatic harmonica.. it's always one of the highlights of our night..

I didn't care much that they were not virtuosos but really liked the track...at the time, none of my bandmates agreed. (But hell, some of them they liked KISS bwahaha)

Lets say decent player, who certainly doesn't deserve all the snide comments concentrated on him alone

I like this one too. Not my normal thing but a good song nonetheless. I'd like it even better if it was directed to me. There, I said it

Kasey Chambers was my gateway artist to the world of alt country.. she made me seek out Lucinda Williams, Buddy Miller, Matthew Ryan, Gram Parsons etc.. some of KC's songs are as good as any I've heard..

Miley has a good voice it's too bad everything else she does makes people overlook that fact But she's still young, I think once she gets all that out of her system she'll do fine

I'd like BM a bit more but they all insist on torturing Cookie Monster
