Saw The Proclaimers last night (yes, there was Tele content). They sang several songs from Sunshine on Leith but not my favourite, Oh Jean:

That song is an excellent example of a musical ... er ... climax. What's yer favourite?

ps. There was no merch on sale. The stuff hasn't arrived in Canada yet :( I wanted an "Angry Cyclist" tour shirt.

    Wow!
Never heard of these guys but I like them!
My wife doesn't even know them and she has lived in Ireland and is a huge fan of the Pogues.
    Thanks for posting!

    They're Scottish fwiw

This is a good question for a thread though. Having a hard time thinking past "A Day in the Life." Hmmm

Oh yeah I got the Scottish and like that accent even more than Irish, but while I don't assume they are the same I view them musically as Celtic.
My wife also lived in England, and her parents live in Ireland half the year but travel around the EU a lot.

Maybe I'm Doctor Faux Pas here?

Anyhow, Celtic influenced music with some bad attitude is all right with me!
