Most boring cover versions?

Sometimes when an artist covers someone else's song, it's inspiring. Other times, it falls flat and is straight-up boring.

I just heard Natalie Merchant's cover of 'Space Oddity,' and it nearly put me to sleep.

What are the most boring covers of non-boring songs? GO!

Fred Durst and the Limp Bizkits covering Home Sweet Home....I heard it for the first time yesterday while I was at work....hopefully it was just an isolated incident and accidental choice selected by the YouTube auto-play lol.

This one impresses me as being the worst cover ever:

    You go white boy!

Keep those choices coming!!!!...although NONE can top memorex's. Pat Boone's Tutti Frutti could only be beat by, say, The Carpenters doing Back in Black.....or the Osmonds doing Arthur Brown's Fire....;)

    Is it worst or boring?

There are a lot of really bad covers out there. However, I'd class a boring cover as one that's musically proficient but fails to inspire as a performance for one reason or another.

What @bgmacaw said! I also thought the OP asked for boring: mostly you guys (in a non-gender-specific sense, you understand) are just coming up with bad.
Now I get bored whenever Joe Bonamassa or Stevie Ray Vaughan cover a Hendrix tune... YMMV...

That describes Merchant's cover of 'Space Oddity' to a tee. In a word - bloodless. She could not have sounded less interested.

Without the drums, and any sense of feeling, this song is incredibly boring.
